Desert Medical Federal Credit Union - Home Mortgage

Desert Medical Federal Credit Union was established in 1970 with a share total of $50 and an objective of providing financial services for staff members within the healthcare system of Scottsdale Healthcare, Mayo Clinic and Hospital and Shadow Mountain Health Care and their families. This was expanded to also include the physicians who worked at the hospitals, their staff, and immediate families.

Today the credit union has assets of over $7 million with approximately 2300 members with two branch locations. One branch is located in the Scottsdale Osborn Campus, and the other in the Scottsdale Shea Campus. The credit union is part of an international program of 30,000 credit unions with over 88,000,000 members. Other advantages include lifetime membership no matter where they live or work.

The goal of the credit union is to not only to meet the financial needs of the people it serves but strives to exceed those expectations.

Membership Eligibility

You can join Desert Medical Federal Credit Union (DMFCU) if one of the following apply:

1. You work for either Scottsdale Healthcare or Mayo Hospital or Clinic.
2. You are a physician who has working privileges at either Scottsdale Healthcare or Mayo Hospital or Clinic.
3. You are staff for a physician who has working privileges at Scottsdale Healthcare of Mayo Hospital or Clinic.
4. You are an immediate family member, i.e. spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter, or grandparent of a current member.
